The holidays are slowly approaching!

It’s a Sunny Saturday afternoon. It’s surprisingly nice weather compared to all this week where it has been colder than usual since winter is slowly approaching. I park and walk my way over the mall building. The mall is quite full today and maybe that is because they just opened a new store which is the Ultra store and from what I have heard it is a makeup and hair appliances store. I walk towards the Starbucks and there is a bit of a line. I am not surprised since it is a Saturday and almost everyone has the day off and what better way to spend it than to go shopping.
As I am waiting in line I notice that there is a couple of teenage girls sitting down at a table drinking Frappuccino’s. It is a total of 4 girls, Noemi, Felicia, Wilma, and Julissa. I would say they are all in high school because they don’t seem too young or too old that are probably in their late teenage years. I could over hear somewhat of their conversation and I am not surprised when I find out that they are talking about boys. Julissa is talking to the other girls about how her boyfriend and how their relationship is getting serious. The other three girls seem to be really into the conversation because what girl doesn’t love gossip. The line is moving quite fast and before I know it it’s my turn to order.  I order a passion fruit tea and a blueberry scone. I am excited when I see that Starbucks has brought their famous “red cups” back which means that they are only in stock for the holiday season. Everyone knows that the red cups are from Starbucks and that is one of the main things that they are known for during the holiday season.
I grab my drink and pastry and have a seat. In the background I hear holiday music playing and I think to myself “so it begins!” all the holiday music that a lot of people get annoyed by and bored of. I personally enjoy the holiday music because it reminds me of the holidays and its gets me into the spirit. The bookstore has now actually started putting out gift ideas for Christmas. They have also taken out their Christmas books out which I know a lot of kids enjoy. I look around the book store and there is actually kids playing in the kid’s area. There are probably 4 kids and they are all playing with stuffed animals. The stuffed animals are characters from Disney movies such as Frozen and Shrek. I don’t see the parents around which is really bad because kids who can’t take care of themselves should be under supervision all the time because it is very easily for a kid to get lost in a big store such as this one.
When I turn my attention back to the café area the teenage girls have already left and a couple has taken their place now. The couple is middle aged and they are having a cup of coffee. They seem to be really into their conversation. The Starbucks have been quite busy today even more full than the other times I been here. Everyone is starting to do their holiday shopping early to avoid the long lines and the crowds I’m guessing. This is a good idea because the famous “Black Friday” is approaching. In case you don’t know what this is it’s the day where a majority of the stores have really good sales for certain amount of time and for only a certain amount of things. People go crazy for this day. The bookstore and Starbucks keeps getting fuller and fuller as time goes by so I finish my tea and head out the door.
