The Lively Crowd

The big game was on Friday, Halloween.  When I walked into the stadium was packed with all kinds of people.  I have never seen this many people occupy the complex before.  Sitting to my far right sat the baseball and softball teams, fully dressed in there playing attires.  It seemed the two teems just finished practice and as a team came over to watch the girls soccer team play.  To my left sat several parents and there kids, since today was Halloween many of the kids were wearing costumes.  Also many of the parents were also wearing costumes.  Many of adults that happen to be wearing costumes generally had children who wore costumes.  However many of the fathers who had kids did not wear costumes while there wife did.  There was also a large group college students about 10 to 14 in number sitting in front of me.  None of the college students dressed up except a male and a female who sat together.

The crowd was quite loud and lively compared to most games.  This could be contributed to the baseball team and softball team showing up.  The baseball team was quite a loud and rowdy group, but most of the crowd seemed to enjoy there company.  Many times during the game the baseball  and softball team would start many humorous cheers and chants, in which most of crowd including the college students and parents would join in.  This was quite rate because usually the college students that attended the game were dead silent and they barely even clapped during the game.  However, since the baseball  and softball team showed they joined in many of the cheers and were actually quite loud.  In general, the crowd atmosphere was quite lively and positive compared to the usual crowd at most games.

A couple of times during the game the baseball team and softball team would try to start a a wave.  The wave would start off strong on the side which sat the baseball team and college students, but it would die around the middle of the complex, where mostly senior citizen sat.  It was actually quite humorous to see a senior citizen and male parents  not even participate in the wave but go two sets down where a mother and son trying to keep the wave going.  Every time the the wave died half wave you could hear a huge sigh from the college students and baseball team.  They said nothing negative or mean they just sighed and groaned loudly.  The loud groan was then usually followed up by the students trying to start the wave again.  A couple of times during the game the wave would get all the way to the end and when it did there would be a lot of  cheering by the little kids and by the college students.  The little kids really seem to enjoy in participating in the wave.  Some little kids would stand so they can get a good clear view of wave coming to them  and when it reached the me they would jump with excitement and wave there hands wildly.
