It's Halloween!

Everyone always finds something to do on Halloween. It’s a traditional thing. For kids, they go out, knock on people’s doors, say “trick or treat,” get candy, and eat it in the morning. For teens, they dress up in a very erotic manner and go get drunk, especially on a Friday night. And for adults, they just sit back and enjoy the show. As for us teens in the church group, we got other stuff planned. And we’re going to have fun in a positive way.

The first thing that the group did was have everyone come to the party. I arrived at around 7:45. When I arrived, many people were already there. They were all dressed in their costumes. But, like me, some were just dressed casually. I normally don’t see why I should dress up since I’m too old to do so anyway. Anyway, there were pirates and doctors and nurses and Supermen (and women). They were all over the place. The good thing was that none of the people were dressed erotically.

After talking and hanging with old friends, it was time for the big event. The boy in charge of the event ordered everyone to go in the living room and wait for instructions. The big event was going to be a maze game. The concept was to get through the maze, or the orchard forest behind the house, as quickly as possible without being caught by the people who were chosen as monsters. But there was also a catch to escaping. Apparently, we must find 4 objects in piles to be able to win the game. So, this was going to be harder than we thought.

As we were led to the orchard forest, the “monsters” were told to go hide in their places. It was dark out, so it was much tougher to find out what was what, especially since there were lots of trees. Everyone else was just hanging out, doing their own things. After waiting for several minutes, the boy in charge finally said to start the game. It was time to find the objects and win!

As we headed down the forest, people were already getting caught. I could hear people saying, “oh man” and “I can’t believe I got caught.” I couldn’t believe I hadn’t been. So, unfortunately, nobody won the game. Not even me. It wasn’t because everyone got caught, but because nobody recovered the objects. In fact, the objects were in a direction that everyone wasn’t at. Everyone went the wrong way! So, sadly we went back into the house and had our fun.

After what appeared to be two hours of talking and hanging out with friends, it was time to announce the winners for the best costumes. The winners were for best male costume, best female costume, and best couple’s costume. The best male costume went to a boy who was dressed as Russell from the movie Up. The best female costume went to a girl dressed as Zorro the warrior. And the best couple’s costume went to a group dressed as Mary Poppins and her man, a boy dressed as a man down the chimney. And so, the party ended soon after.

As for everyone else, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
